NVQ’S – PLANT
OPERATIONS
At Safeteam we don’t just stop at offering the initial CPCS or NPORS plant training and testing, we offer a comprehensive wrap-around service and also provide plant operations NVQ’s. These NVQ’s allow candidates to upgrade to the Competent Operator card, further cementing their experience and acting as evidence of ‘occupational competence’.
There is currently only one route of entry for Plant Operations NVQ – the OSAT ‘On Site Assessment and Training’ route.
The On-Site Assessment route is perfect for anyone working in the construction industry who needs to gain an NVQ or ‘National Vocational Qualification’ – whilst learners are on site, they will be visited by one of our assessors who will guide them through each part of the process, observe them working and will support learners in building their portfolio’s.
The Process
Induction onto the qualification
Practical observation (plant/occupation-specific)
Professional discussion
Evidence must be obtained by using ALL of the following:
1. Observation of performance by the assessor
2. Witness Testimony or Testimonies by an expert witness/witnesses
3. Professional Discussion
