TRAINING
Safeteam delivers the highest level of construction plant training and testing and has well regarded, passionate, time-spent nationally accredited instructors.
We’re a specialist provider of the two most recognised carding schemes in the industry – NPORS ‘National Plant Operators Registration Scheme’ and CPCS ‘Construction Plant Competence Scheme’ – both of which are recognised by Build UK and the HBF Home Builders Federation and can be CSCS embossed on request.
The law requires that any plant operator is given adequate training by their employer so that they become competent to operate the machinery which they use (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998; regulation 9). The CPCS and NPORS card schemes offer training and testing on all items of plant and cranes lending employers flexible training and assessment schemes that allow them to remain legally compliant whilst bolstering productivity on site and aiding staff retention.
Alongside our extensive CPCS and NPORS plant training offering Safeteam are also able to offer NVQ Assessments for our full plant and crane/lifting offering, allowing candidates to demonstrate their competence and upgrade to their NPORS and/or CPCS Competent Operator card.

There are some key differences between the NPORS and CPCS card schemes, the route best suited to you and/or your business will be subject to a number of factors including what sites/contracts you’re currently servicing, the capacity in which you use the plant, the relevant experience of the candidates and whether the business is CITB levy registered.
