LATEST UPDATE – NPORS CSCS Card Enforcement
NPORS has only been widely accepted across Construction over the last 6 years given the possibility of adding the CSCS logo (in line with the CLC initiative of a ‘one logo’ policy). Principle and main contractors are now heavily regulating NPORS plant operators on their sites and we’ve seen a substantial shift in contractors moving from the Traditional NPORS card that doesn’t carry the CSCS logo, to the NPORS Red Traditional or NPORS Blue Competent Operator card that is CSCS affiliated in line with CLC guidance. The process; transitioning is achievable as long as operators have at least 3 months left on their existing card by undertaking a CITB HS&E test, if they haven’t already within the last 2 years. If the operator holds the relevant NVQ they will obtain the Blue Competent Operator version, which is considerably easier to renew than the CPCS alternative. Contact the team for further information and advice on where you stand, the renewal process or any other queries.
